The three choirs that make up the Madison County Satellite program of Heartland Youth Choir will present their fall Autumn Songs concert on Sunday afternoon. There is no charge for the concert which will be held in the new Madison County Music Co. studios located at 123 W Jefferson St. (formerly the Grip Tite building).

Musical Story Time with Miss Megan

Miss Megan from Madison County Music Co. will entertain and engage young audiences with a variety of age-appropriate musical selections. History on the Hill O’ Beans

Madison County Historical Museum Lounge
Head ‘up the hill’ on the second Tuesday of each month for a cup of coffee, a short presentation on a historic topic, and to share your own historical insights. This month’s topic is “Indigenous People of Early Madison County.” Just who lived here before white settlers arrived in the spring of 1846? You will know much more after you attend!
Optimist Turkey Dinner

Winterset High School Cafeteria
Enjoy turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, dressing, vegetables, rolls, and dessert at the Annual Optimist Turkey Dinner. You’ll also be waited on by members of the Winterset Optimist and Junior Optimist Clubs—and they do the dishes! Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children 5-12. All proceeds from this annual dinner are funneled through the Winterset Optimist Club back into the community through their financial support of youth activities.
Youth Basketball League

Winterset Parks & Recreation Dept.
The Winterset Parks & Recreation Youth Basketball League offers various divisions for boys and girls in grades 1-6. Games will be played on Saturdays beginning January 7th. Participants in grades 3-6 will be playing against teams from Adel, Perry, and Van Meter, so occasional travel to these towns is to be expected. Teams will be selected through a draft following a skills clinic with all participants on November 20th led by Husky coaches and players. The registration fee is $30 with the deadline being November 13th.
