Ken Burke Memorial Car Show

Madison County Historical Complex

Ken Burk served as the Winterset Police Chief in Winterset for many years, also served as a board member for the Madison County Historical Society, and was a classic car enthusiast so this memorial event is a great tribute to Chief Burke. Plus the funds raised will help support family activities at the Madison County Historical Society. In addition to enjoying the classic cars, visitors can have a free tour of the museum and mansion.


Paint Madison County: A Plein Air Festival

4:00 – 7:00 • Reception at Covered Bridges Winery

This is Madison County’s newest ‘totally cool’ event and reason #1357 why it’s awesome to live here! Artists will be at various locations around Madison County taking their inspiration from the natural beauty and creating their paintings en plein air. You’re invited to visit them and see their progress and process. Then at 4:00, all of the art work will be on display and for sale at Covered Bridges Winery. General Lee Smoke shack Food truck will be serving food and Ryan Doughty will  be the evening’s live entertainment.
