Master Gardener, David Mixdorf, will share a lot of his best tips for raising heirloom tomatoes, how to harden off tomato seedlings, preventing diseases, and differences between hybrids and heirlooms. He will show and talk about a wide variety of heirloom tomatoes that he grows in his garden.

James Martin lived in Ukraine for seven years as a teacher and host of storytelling events. He and his wife left Ukraine in February 2022, returning in October 2023. After finishing his teaching contract in Spain, James and Irina have now moved back to Iowa and will be living permanently in Winterset. If you are interested in what has been happening in Ukraine, it will be interesting to hear about James and Irina’s experiences and perspectives.
