It’s Madison County Fair weekend (in case you don’t live close enough to the fairgrounds that you’ve been hearing the evening events!). The Iowa Theater is showing Black Widow this weekend and all community kids are invited to attend Vacation Bible School at St. Paul Lutheran Church (registration due Wednesday.)

Madison County Fair

2021 Madison County Fair

July 21-25

There’s still plenty of fun to be had at the Madison County Fair! There is free gate admission and plenty of free entertainment throughout the day—Impact Pro Wrestling will be performing daily in the free entertainment lawn near the Varied Industries Building. You can also find Mr. Nick’s Balloon Animal Creations, face painting, and the Little Farmer Barn petting zoo in the same area. Also, check out the variety of livestock from local 4-H and FFA exhibitors, and the static projects in the Jackson and Varied Industries buildings.

This Saturday the Winterset Cidery is hosting live music from Exit 113. They like to focus on a cause for each live music night, and this event will serve as a benefit for the Roush Family of Winterset. There is a $5 cover charge per vehicle (up to 6 people) and children attending must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Vacation Bible School Camp

August 11th & 12th • 9:00am – 2:00pm
St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1120 N 8th Ave
REGISTRATION DEADLINE JULY 28TH

All children entering 1st through 6th grades are invited to attend Vacation Bible School camp at St. Paul Lutheran Church. The program is a collaboration between the St. Paul Congregation and Riverside Bible Camp. There is no cost to attend and lunch will be provided each day. The registration form needs to be completed and returned by WEDNESDAY, JULY 28TH. Garden Party

Winterset Art Center, 224 S John Wayne Dr.

All are invited to the Winterset Art Center for a Garden Party featuring musicians, Des Moines Irish Session. Bring your lawn chair, beverage of choice and enjoy traditional Irish music. Cost of admission is a donation to the Winterset Art Center.

Registration Open through the end of August

Registration is now OPEN for Fall Soccer and there is an Early Bird Discount until July 21st. Registration will be open until the end of August. If you are interested in volunteering as a Coach or Assistant Coach, please apply during the registration process. Divisions are available for children as young as five.
