This week a beefburger meal will be served to benefit History on the Hill. Jennie & David Hargrove will provide music during intermission.

Tending Iowa’s Land: A Community Discussion

Featured essayist Kathy Woida, PhD, will be the guest at this facilitated discussion focusing on the “Soil” section of the book, Tending Iowa’s Land.
This is the second of four community discussions around the book, edited by Cornelia F. Mutel. In a straightforward and friendly style, Iowa’s premier scientists consider what has happened to our land and outline viable solutions, that benefit agriculture as well as our human and wildlife residents. Each discussion will feature a contributing author from the book.
The program is free and no registration required; a hike will follow. Books can be found at Winterset Public Library and Brick Roads Books in Winterset.
This community collaboration includes For Lands Sake, Madison County Soil and Water Conservation District, Brick Roads Books, Madison County Foundation for Environmental Education, Winterset Public Library, and is sponsored by Winterset Vet.

Winterset Ballet & Dance

Summer camps are not only fun for current dancers, but also great way for children who don’t currently take dance lessons to try it out. Winterset Ballet and Dance is offering a wide variety of classes for ages 2-10.
Twinkle Bear’s Storybook Adventures

This camp is a perfect way to introduce little ones to dance in a fun way with dance incorporated into a storybook adventure.
Princess Magic Dance Camp
