The Winterset Community band opens their season tonight at the Madison County Historical Complex. Grab a lawn chair, a cold lemonade or iced tea, and head on out to ‘the hill’ to take in some great music. We hear there are over 50 musicians in the band this year!

The Winterset Knights of Columbus will host a golf outing on Friday, June 25th, at the Lakeview Country Club to benefit their Compassion Fund. This fund provides assistance for those in need in our community.
This is a 4-person best shot match. The registration fee is $200 per foursome which includes golf & lunch. Carts are available for an additional fee.

Touch a Truck & Usborne Book Fair

Winterset Public Library
Kids can visit the library this Saturday to touch, and safely explore, their favorite big trucks and heavy machinery, as well as meet the personnel who protect, serve, and build the Winterset community. This event is free and open to the public. Bring a camera for fun photo opportunities!!

Winterset Public Library
Wellness Wednesday Lunch and Learns will be offered each week for the remainder of June. All sessions will be about an hour and held in the Community Meeting room at the Winterset Public Library, 123 N. Second Street. The library asks that if you are experiencing symptoms of Covid 19 to refrain from attending. You may certainly bring and enjoy your lunch if your schedule so dictates.
Veg Out will be presented by Cathy Drost, ISU Extension Human Sciences Specialist, Nutrition and Wellness. This program will help participants discover the benefits and importance of vegetables to creating a healthier lifestyle. You’ll receive sample recipes ideas, and learn how to increase fruit and veggies in your diet.
