The Winterset Stage at the Madison County Fairgrounds
The Winterset Stage opened their production of Oklahoma last night to an enthusiastic audience anxious for the return of live theater to Winterset. The community theater group is offering three more performances: Tonight and Saturday at 7:00pm, and Sunday, June 20th at 2:00pm. Reserved seats are sold out, but there are still a few bleacher seats available for each performance that can be purchased at ‘the door’ (actually a blue tent.)
The entertainment really begins one hour before showtime with live music, food, games, activities, and even a square dancing demonstration.

History Bike Ride Challenge

The Drift
The Drift is sponsoring monthly bike rides in the Winterset area on the 3rd Saturday of every month in June, July & August. The rides are designed around a trivia theme with each month having a different theme.
The first ride will be this Saturday, June 19th, and the theme is Winterset History. There is no fee and advanced registration is not required. Those that are interested in participating need only show up at The Drift anytime between 1:00 and 3:00pm on Saturday where each rider will be given a tour route guide with easy-to-follow route directions. Follow the route, answering questions about historic sites including the Historical Complex, Judge Lewis Farm, Winterset Cemetery, City Park and places in between! Complete the ride and turn in your trivia sheet prior to 5:00 for drink discounts!

Madison County Women’s Giving Circle
Second Quarter Meeting

The second quarter meeting of The Madison County Women’s Giving Circle will be IN-PERSON on June 22, 2021, at Jacque Mohs’ party barn at 1640 Hwy 169, Winterset. (Turn into the Winterset Cidery driveway, take the road to the right and follow the signs.) The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m., with a salad bar provided at 5:30 p.m. for those who want to eat and socialize before the meeting. If weather permits, the meeting will be outdoors. Local charitable 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profits or other qualifying tax-exempt organizations who wish to present information about their projects for supporting women and children in Madison County should plan to arrive by 6:15 p.m. to register for the chance to present.

Wellness Wednesday Lunch and Learns will be the offered each week for the remainder of June. All sessions will be about an hour and held in the Community Meeting room at the Winterset Public Library, 123 N. Second Street. The library asks that if you are experiencing symptoms of Covid 19 to refrain from attending. You may certainly bring and enjoy your lunch if your schedule so dictates.
Aaron Richardson, RN, BSN is the Director of Rehab Services and Chronic Disease Management at Madison County Memorial Hospital. Aaron’s presentation is called, “Secret Services of the Second Floor.” Find out about the many great services available to you right here from the professionals at your local hospital!
Knights of Columbus Golf Outing

The Winterset Knights of Columbus will host a golf outing on Friday, June 25th, at the Lakeview County Club to benefit their Compassion Fund. This fund provides assistance for those in need in our community.
This is a 4-person best shot match. The registration fee is $200 per foursome which includes golf & lunch. Carts are available for an additional fee.
