I think we could all use a dose of “cute” today. Ah, to be this young and carefree! Winterset Ballet & Dance Studio is hosting a “Sparkle Day” on Saturday, November 12th, for two-year-olds from 10:00 to 10:30 am and three-year-olds from 10:30 to 11:00 am. This is a chance to come and try the Twinkle Star Dance (pre-tap and pre-ballet) Class for free. Anyone who registers that day will also receive half off the first month’s tuition and a special discount on dancewear for the class. A new Bereavement/Grief Support Group is beginning at First Presbyterian Church in Winterset, on Fridays from 1:30 to 3:00 pm, starting November 11th. This service is provided by Kindred Hospice. If you missed the first meeting today, call 641-755-4114 to inquire.
First Christian Church and P44 invite you to enjoy an evening of Southern Gospel Music and dinner on Friday (today) November 11th, starting at 6:00 pm. Everyone is welcome!
On Saturday evening, Covered Bridges Winery will have live music by The MacLennan Trio from 7:00 to 10:00 pm, with food by “Ferinheit Wood Oven Pizza” (weather permitting) from 6:00 to 8:30 pm. There is a $5.00 cover charge at the door, and this is held at the new tasting room location of 2207 170th Trail in Winterset (just off Why 169 north of Winterset).

Angel Wings & CT will celebrate its annual Christmas Open House next weekend, from November 17-19. They’ll be open Thursday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, and Friday and Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Shoppers can enjoy a gift with every purchase, refreshments, door prizes, and in-store specials.
The annual church craft bazaar known as the Holiday Hop is scheduled for Saturday, November 19th from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm at the locations listed below. Additionally, there will be a Stop and Shop Craft Fair on the same day at the VFW in Winterset (behind the library) from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. More info on that coming next week.
