It’s a new world…
We’ve returned from Spring Break to a world of chaos and uncertainty. We are resolute in our belief that our country and community can come together and make the best of a horrible situation. If you look hard enough you can find many stories of people helping others and bringing some small amount of comfort to each other. Please be safe…and kind…and look for ways to find humor even in tough situations!
Great Citizens doing Great Things!
Some wonderful Winterset Citizens provided words of encouragement on the downtown sidewalks earlier this week!
Girl Scout Troop #15 put the last of their cookie supply to good use offering Quarantine Survival Packs that could be delivered to your doorstep. This week they delivered a supply to our local medical professionals and first responders. After all, cookies make everything just a little better!
We’re sure there are LOTS of other stories about our wonderful Citizens doing kind, thoughtful and helpful things during and we’d love to hear about them! It’s going to quite a while before we can resume our regular ‘Weekend in Winterset’ post so we’d love to send some good vibes to your inbox each Thursday instead!
Even though the Iowa Theater isn’t able to show movies, they’re keeping the marquee lighted 24/7 as a beacon of encouragement!
