Ridin’ at the Ranch

Plan a day of family fun and enjoy a plethora of fun-filled activities that support the Wildwood Hills youth and veterans drill teams. Attendees will have the chance to swim, fish, and kayak, while the thrill of side-by-side rides and scenic trail rides* await adventurers of all ages. Kids will delight in pony rides, a petting zoo, and inflatable attractions, while everyone can get creative with face painting and groove to live music. Don’t miss the opportunity to bid on fantastic items at the silent auction. With changing facilities on-site, you can make the most of your day at the ranch. Adult tickets for the day are $25, youth are $15, children 5 and under are free. Use the link below to get tickets in advance.
You can also experience a unique lighted horse show and visit the gathering hall between performances for light appetizers, sweet treats, cookie decorating, ornament making, hot cocoa bar, and more! Horse shows are at 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm and refreshments are available between shows from 2:30 pm – 3:45 pm. Tickets are only $10 per person (2 & under are free).
*Trail rides are an additional cost, and participants must be 8 years of age. There is also a 200lb weight limit for our particular horses.

The no-more-than-an-hour meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m. Arrive anytime after 5:30 p.m. if you wish to socialize before the meeting. Anyone who might be interested in joining or learning more about MCWGC is welcome to attend the meeting or you can contact Kristie Hirschman at MadisoncowomensGivingCircle@gmail.com with any questions you may have.
Most Members are women who either live in or have ties to Madison County and wish to support women and children in need who live in the County.
Local charitable 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profits or other qualifying tax-exempt organizations who wish to present information about their projects for supporting women and children in Madison County should arrive by 6:15 p.m. to register for presenting. We ask that each applicant provide a brief description of their project; their tax-exempt status; plus an email address and telephone number where they may be reached. Three organizations will be selected (by a drawing) to present at the meeting and each will be allocated 4 minutes to present and 4 minutes to answer member’s questions. One non-profit will be selected by vote, after the presentations, to receive this quarter’s donations. If more than 3 non-profits wish to present, the rest will each have 2 minutes to talk about their project.
9 to 5 The Musical

The Winterset Stage is thrilled to announce its third community musical production: 9 to 5 The Musical, with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and based on the hit 1980 film.
A talented cast of local performers has been hard at work bringing this hilarious and empowering story to life. Full of big hair, big dreams, and bigger laughs, 9 to 5 The Musical tells the story of three working women who take control of their office—and their lives—proving that friendship and courage can create real change.
Performances will take place June 26-28, promising high-energy musical numbers, unforgettable characters, and all the sass of the original film. Barn Quilt Painting Class

Iowa Quilt Museum

The Iowa Quilt Museum is offering a fun and creative afternoon and a chance to create your own ‘barn’ quilt. Participants will receive a 2×2 ft sanded and primed board with the barn quilt design of your choice (choose from 18!) and access to 25 exterior paint colors. All supplies are provided, just wear old clothes or bring an apron. Cost is $100 and can be paid at the door. A Midsummer Night’s Dream Ballet
