Winterset Neighbors Connection

Winterset Public Library
The Winterset Neighbors Connection, will be hosting representatives from Winterset’s four major service clubs at their next meeting. Representatives from the Kiwanis, Lions, Optimists and Rotary will each share information on their respective organizations and the opportunities available to get further involved. Neighbor Connection meets monthly on the third Thursday at 7:00 pm, normally at the library. It was originally established to bring newcomers together to provide them an opportunity to ask questions about the community and help them feel welcome. Chris Nolte, one of the group coordinators said, “this particular topic may be of interest to any area resident, not just newcomers. Service clubs are integral to the health of a community, and we are fortunate to have many groups providing services in Winterset and the surrounding communities. We invite everyone to join us!”

Registration Deadline July 30th
Winterset Parks & Recreation
Registration for Youth Flag Football is now open through Winterset Parks & Recreation. This league consists of 7 weeks of games and 5 weeks of practices prior to games starting. Games this year will be played on Saturday mornings, but kids are still encouraged to play both soccer and flag football—schedules will be arranged so the games don’t conflict.
