November Farmer’s Market

Get a fall dose of the Madison County Farmer’s Market this Saturday. This market will be INDOORS at The Warehouse on 2nd, 231 N 2nd Ave. (around the corner in the back of the Madison County Music Co. building). The Warehouse will also be serving some morning cocktails for you to enjoy while you shop—Bloody Marys, Mimosas and Irish Coffee.

Cocoa Crawl

Downtown Winterset

After the cocoa crawl, keep the local shopping rolling and ‘crawl’ your way through the Winterset Retail District. Many participating retailers will have cocoa-themed treats or drinks as well as sales and shopping specials.

And if part of your family isn’t really into shopping, or you’re not really into having their ‘help’ with the shopping, you can send them off to Graham’s Game Café at the Warehouse on 2nd for the afternoon to enjoy pickleball, foosball, air hockey, ping pong, giant Jenga, arcade games, board games and more. And The Warehouse will be serving Boozy Cocoa all afternoon! (or just regular cocoa for the kids!)

MCWGC Fourth Quarter Potluck

Any Madison County woman interested in learning more about the Madison County Women’s Giving Circle is invited to the fourth quarter social. There will not be a “business” meeting this time around and those who attend are encouraged to bring a snack, side, dessert, etc. to share at the potluck.

Unimpressed with the new system in place at the North Pole (under the direction of his former apprentice and new CEO), Santa recruits his wife, his loyal stable attendant, and his trusted team of reindeer to go on one last mission to respond to the wish of an unhappy girl in foster care who doesn’t believe in him.

This performance will take place on the historic stage at The Iowa Theater. All seats are assigned to ensure we can accommodate every ticketed guest. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime. All tickets are held at Will Call—no physical tickets or email confirmations are needed. Just check in under the name on your reservation. Easy peasy! $5 from each ticket supports our Fine Arts Scholarship Program, helping Madison County youth experience the arts through camps, workshops, and classes.

Pink Friday is a nationwide event dedicated to celebrating and supporting small and local businesses, before the big boxes. Since 2020, taking place the Friday before Black Friday, Pink Friday encourages shoppers to discover and support small retailers first during the holiday season.

So on Friday, November 21st, #SupportSmallFirst and check our our local retailers before you hit the big box stores on Black Friday. If it’s been a while since you’ve really scoped out our local shops—I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the variety of merchandise you can find right here. And remember, local retailers are the ones who support your kids or grandkids sports teams, sponsor and volunteer at community events and festivals, and donate to community projects!
