Beer Choir is a social singing event open to all, no talent required! It’s so simple—you get a beer, get a seat, and let yourself be led through a couple hours of hilarious drinking songs from the official songbook, the Beer Choir Hymnal! This month’s focus is on songs from our German friends to Oktoberfest!
Non-beer drinkers are also welcome—The Drift has a great selection of wines, cocktails and soft drinks. And if you just want to drink and listen, you’re welcome, too, but don’t be surprised when you end up joining in the singing. There is no cover charge.

A Journey through Parkinson’s Disease

Learn about the causes, symptoms, and treatments of PD and therapeutic activities that can be done at home. This is a three-week session hosted by the Iowa State Extension in Madison County.

Haunted Harvest Festival

Pammel Park with Madison County Conservation
The whole family can enjoy carnival games, campsite decorating, trick-or-treating, and more at the Madison County Conservation Board’s Haunted Harvest Festival. Cost is $5/person or $25/family (5 or more). This is a family-friendly event and all age are welcome. Any kids under age 3 are FREE.
