Winterset Ballet & Dance Recitals

Winterset Ballet and Dance Studio will soon present their end-of-year recitals. Tickets can be purchased in advance using the button below, or at the door.
Friday, May 12, 7:00 pm: Bring the whole family to experience this year’s feature ballet, Moana, and the themed performance, Better Together, which includes dances in tap, jazz, hip-hop, and modern.
Saturday, May 13, 10:30 am: The studio’s littlest dancers, the Twinkle Babies, will take the stage for their very first time! This memorable, Saturday morning performance also includes the Daddy Daughter Dance and some encore dances from the Better Together themed show. You are sure to walk away with a smile on your face.
Saturday, May 13, 2:00 pm: An encore performance of the ballet, Moana, and a tribute to senior dancer Addie Burkett!
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

The Iowa Theater
Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3 will play at the Iowa Theater for one more weekend after this.

The monthly Neighbors Connection gathering is a friendly, casual, no stress social opportunity to help Winterset residents “make the most” of living in Madison County. Newcomers—and not-so-newcomers—can learn about what is happening in Madison County, how to finding what you might looking for, and make new friends. All ages are welcome and there is no cost or obligation, just your time and desire to meet people and enjoy snacks and conversation for an hour. The only agenda is to help you know more about Madison County and work together to make our community the best it can be!

Registration Open for Summer Lessons & Classes
Madison County Music Co.
Madison County Music Co. is accepting registrations for summer private and group lessons on piano, violin, cello, voice, flute, guitar and ukulele, as well as several classes:
- Ukulele Summer Camp
- Music Together Classes (babies, toddlers, and preschoolers with a parent or caregiver)
- Kinder Choir (4 and 5 year olds)
- Beginning Violin Class (4, 5 and 6 year olds)

What started five years ago as the “Madison County Airing of the Quilts” has now expanded to the Iowa Quilt Festival. Spanning four days, the event includes classes & events, a quilting retreat and concludes with the Airing of the Quilts on Saturday, June 3rd.

ACEing Autism helps children with autism to grow, develop, and benefit from social connections and fitness through Tennis. The 4-day program takes place every Saturday in June. Participants receive 1 on 1 instruction, so class size is limited to 4 kids.
