Meet the Cast of The Odd Couple
Meet Unger and Madison in the flesh on Wednesday night at The Iowa. The cast of The Winterset Stage’s production of The Odd Couple (female version) will be attending the screening as part of their character research! The live production will take place April 21st through 24th, also at the Iowa Theater, but on the stage instead of the big screen.

Oscar Nominated Film Screening

Starting February 17, the library will be showing an Oscar nominated film every Thursday at 1:00 pm until the Academy Awards telecast on March 27. These are free programs and no registration is required.

Spring Break Activities at the Winterset Public Library

Once again, our wonderful public library has rolled out a variety of fun and educational programs to keep everyone occupied during spring break.
Babysitting Basics
Monday • March 15th • 9:00am – 3:00pm
Iowa State Extension

Space is limited to the first fifteen registrations for this Babysitting Basics class for youth in 5th through 7th grades. The course will cover child development, age-appropriate activities, safety and basic first aid, nutrition and food choices, caring for infants and children, parent expectations, and the ‘babysitting’ business. The cost is $25 and lunch and snack are provided. Sign up using the button below.
Mother & Son Dance
Friday • March 25 • 7:00 – 8:30pm
Winterset High School Commons

Any boys ages 4-10(ish) are invited to bring a special lady in his life to dance the night away and support the Winterset Student Council. The StuCo is raising money to enroll students in leadership conferences and camps that provide students with a strong base of leadership skills to prepare them for tackling future leadership roles.
Registration is $15 per couple and $5 for each additional boy for this semi-dressy event. A wrist corsage can also be purchased for an extra $10. There will be refreshments, a photo booth, door prizes, contests, and, of course, music and dancing!

Driveway Painting Fundraiser

WHS Vocal Boosters
The Winterset High School Vocal Boosters are offering you an opportunity to show your school spirit! Sign up to have your driveway painted with 3′ x 3′ Husky or ‘W’ insignia for $50. For an additional $25, you can add on a fine arts or athletics image which will appear beside the Husky or ‘W’.
You can find an order form in this week’s Shopper or print one at the link below. Mail it in with a check by March 31st, and then April 23rd or 24th, your driveway will be visited by school spirit elves!
