Intro to the Stage

Saturday • February 19 • 9:00 – 11:00am
The Winterset Stage

If being on stage is one of your ‘bucket list’ items, if you’ve thought about getting involved in a production but you feel a little rusty since your high school theater days, if you’ve been involved in a recent production but want to bump up your acting skills, or if you just want to have a little FUN, you’re invited to attend the “Introduction to the Stage” Workshop with The Winterset Stage.

Led by members of The Winterset Stage board of directors, this completely relaxed and non-threatening two-hour workshop will cover:

  • Stage Lingo & Vocabulary
  • How to get the most from a script
  • Basics of blocking and stage movement
  • Auditioning Basics

There is no cost for this workshop and it’s open to all! (Although it’s geared toward adults and older youth.) If you’d like to audition for The Odd Couple, this would be a great way to prepare.*

(*You don’t have to attend this workshop to be able to audition and you don’t have to audition if you attend this workshop.)
