Explore Madison County

and Earn Prizes!

The Winterset Public Library is partnering with the “Exploring is Cool!” Little Library Challenge Project by adding a “Footsteps of Carver” Reading Challenge that features the story of George W. Carver. Kids can get the new “Footsteps of Carver” Challenge sheet at the Public Library in the “Explore Madison County” Exhibit or at one of two Little Free Libraries at W. Jefferson & 4th Ave. or E. Court & 5th St.

After visiting the Carver Park to read the monument and the Dream Big Dreams mural, kids write words and do a rubbing. Then they go to the Public Library and find books about Carver in the children’s section and do a puzzle for an “Exploring is Cool!” ice cream certificate from Frostee’s.

The Public Library is now open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Keep reading for more information about the library and what they’re offering these days!

The show follows Donna (Meryl Streep), an independent hotelier in the Greek islands, who is preparing for her daughter’s wedding with the help of two old friends.
