Friday • 9/20 • 5:00 – 9:00 pm
Winterset Art Center
The Winterset Art Center is concluding an exhibit with a Gallery Night this Friday where the public is invited to come and meet the artist, Susan Moore. Moore’s artwork focuses on hyperrealism through mediums of oil, acrylic and watercolor; while presenting the subtle sensations of indulgence. She utilizes the complex tools of color and composition to create works which magnify the viewers’ memories of taste, texture, and aroma. Susan teaches at Peru State College (Nebraska) as a professor of Fine Arts, and is the director of the Peru State College Gallery. There is no charge for the event but donations are welcome and will go to support the Winterset Art Center’s art education programs and capital improvements.

Take the Heart & Soul Survey THIS MONTH
And make sure YOUR voice is heard!
Madison County Heart & Soul is an initiative that recognizes that our county is diverse and made up of individual communities, rural areas, and neighborhoods. Heart & Soul’s purpose is to honor community pride as we develop a county-wide future that represents what matters most to the residents. The Heart & Soul organizers feel that the best way to identify Madison County’s distinctive character—and find the means to protect it—is to listen to people who live in the communities of the county.
You can help define the Heart & Soul of your community and Madison County by completing short, anonymous survey, but you need to do it soon!
This is the “Last call” to Winterset residents to complete this survey. After the end of September, the survey will close and the results will be collected and processed. Don’t miss your chance to share your thoughts in this important process. You can find everything you want to know about the process, and the survey, at the Madison County Heart & Soul website.
