A Month of Giving Thanks!
We’ve been spending the month of November saying “Thanks” to all of our wonderful sponsors for their commitment to bringing you this post each week. This week’s featured sponsors join the ranks of businesses that makes our community a richer and more convenient place to live. Blanchard Dental, Medicap Pharmacy, Lowe Chiropractice & Madison County Health Care Systems provide top-notch services and care right here in our own community. We all secretly hope that we’ll never need the services of Anchored Walls, but if we do run into basement issues, it’s comforting to know that they’re here for us. And the John Wayne Birthplace Museum enriches both our local culture and economy by drawing visitors from, quite literally, across the world to see our beautiful town. We’re grateful to these businesses and all those who strive to make Winterset a great place to live, work and enjoy our free time.
Thank you to all of our Winterset Citizen Sponsors!

Bohemian Rhapsody is a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury. Freddie defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet. The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound. They reach unparalleled success, but in an unexpected turn Freddie, surrounded by darker influences, shuns Queen in pursuit of his solo career. Having suffered greatly without the collaboration of Queen, Freddie manages to reunite with his bandmates just in time for Live Aid. While bravely facing a recent AIDS diagnosis, Freddie leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music. Queen cements a legacy that continues to inspire outsiders, dreamers and music lovers to this day. PG-13 / 2 hr, 13 minThe Iowa will not show a Wayback Wednesday film on December 5th.
