It & Psycho

Playing this weekend at the Iowa Theater
Friday & Saturday • 7:00pm

Remember, seating at The Iowa is limited. Purchase your tickets ONLINE and/or arrive early to ensure your seat. Doors open at 6:30.

The Iowa is packing in the thrills and chills this weekend with TWO movies sure to get you in the Halloween spirit!

IT: Seven young outcasts in Derry, Maine, are about to face their worst nightmare — an ancient, shape-shifting evil that emerges from the sewer every 27 years to prey on the town’s children. Banding together over the course of one horrifying summer, the friends must overcome their own personal fears to battle the murderous, bloodthirsty clown known as Pennywise. R, 2hr15min

PSYCHO: Phoenix secretary Marion Crane (Janet Leigh), on the lam after stealing $40,000 from her employer in order to run away with her boyfriend, Sam Loomis (John Gavin), is overcome by exhaustion during a heavy rainstorm. Traveling on the back roads to avoid the police, she stops for the night at the ramshackle Bates Motel and meets the polite but highly strung proprietor Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins), a young man with an interest in taxidermy and a difficult relationship with his mother. Coming Soon

The Musical of Musicals

Friday • 11/6 • 7:00pm
Saturday • 11/7 • 2:00 AND 7:00pm
Henry C. Miller Auditorium, Winterset High School

Husky Drama & Music students have been rehearsing this fall for weeks with some modifications for safety and next weekend, they’ll be sharing the fruits of their labors on the big stage with the Musical of Musicals.

In this hilarious satire of musical theatre, one story becomes three delightful musicals, each written in the distinctive style of a different master of the form: Rodgers and Hammerstein (Oklahoma, The Sound of Music, South Pacific, …), Jerry Herman (Hello, Dolly!, Mame, …) and Kander & Ebb (Chicago, Cabaret, …).

The audience will also need to make some adjustments for safety:
• You will pay for your tickets at the door
• After completing the ticket registration form, you will be emailed with your assigned seats and your tickets will be held at Will Call
• The best available seats will be assigned while maintaining physical distancing from other groups and keeping capacity under 50%.
• Cash or Check are accepted at the door
• Ticket prices: $7/adults, $5/students
• Masks are mandatory while in the building and seated for the performance. Please bring your own for all members of your party.
