This Weekend

The Grinch, It’s A Wonderful Life & Home Alone

Coming up at the Iowa Theater

Illumination (makers of Despicable Me) is bringing us another version at the classic Dr. Seuss story of the Grinch. According to reviews, “The Grinch’ isn’t exactly groundbreaking or fresh, but it has just enough Christmas magic to justify another modern retelling of an old story.” “The Grinch works as a modernized retelling of Dr. Seuss’s classic, with some compelling tweaks to the story and characters for plenty of family fun.” Sounds like a great family outing! And after Christmas make plans to see (or see again) Fantastic Beasts—plus—The Iowa has announced that sometime soon the new Mary Poppins will visit Winterset!
